Associate Architect

JDE Designs, LLC is a growing architecture firm hoping to expand our design team. Our primary focus is designing semi-custom and production designs for local builders, as well as custom residences for individual homeowners. We are seeking an Associate Architect with a minimum of 3 years of experience in all phases of residential design and construction documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
– Development of conceptual and schematic designs
– Production of schematic and detailed working drawings
– Development of Construction Documents

Requirements:
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential architecture
– Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Architecture
– Proficient in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Architecture
– Experience with SketchupPro
– Detail Oriented
– Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

Qualifications:
– Knowledge of construction methods, standards and building codes
– Candidate must be able to successfully manage multiple residential projects simultaneously
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with exceptional time management skills
– Candidate must have great interpersonal communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues and clients
– Must excel in conceptual planning skills, strive for high quality and innovative design solutions and show initiative in problem solving
