Architectural Employee / Construction Administration



Primary Responsibilities:  Onsite technical expert to interact with the project management oversight team as the onsite representative.  Will assist to resolve problems from minor to major scope and complexity.  You will also assist in Quality Analysis and Control reviews of scheduled milestone packages with a particular emphasis towards constructability, coordination, and value engineering.  In addition, we will count on you to:

 

Represent a multidiscipline architectural and interior design team during construction projects
Negotiate, interpret documents and be a team player
Conduct meetings with clients, contractors, Owners, tenants, Owner’s project management teams, and our project representatives
Conduct project observations to determine the progress of the work and compliance with Contract Documents
Prepare field observation reports, review submittals and schedules
Coordinate and assist with providing clarification and enforcement of construction documents , including processing of contractor requests for information
Assist owner in the preparation, review, and processing of change orders and change directives to construction contracts
Obtain, process, document, and maintain records relevant to a project, including but limited to claims, change proposal and change orders, requests for information, correspondence, payment application contract documents and other related documentation.
Demonstrate knowledge while performing QA / QC reviews
Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
10+ year’s experience with filed representation positions during construction
Strong team and leadership skills and communication and relationship management skills
Good with clients, contractors, owners, and flexibility in assignments
Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC, and other local and national codes
Firm understanding of construction scheduling software
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Attitude and commitment to being an active part of the firm and team
Strong knowledge of AIA Contracts and General Conditions and procedures for administering an AIA Contract
Preferred Qualifications:

 

Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
Architectural license
