The firm of Randy M. Goodloe, AIA APAC is seeking a qualified Project Architect to fill an immediate opening within our team.  We’re a small to mid-sized firm focused on quality designs and maintaining close client relationships. Our work across Southwest Louisiana includes a multitude of building sizes and types.

At our office, we operate in a collaborative environment and strive to maintain open lines of communication to produce quality designs. Project Architect Requirements:

The optimal job candidate should be self-motivated and capable of handling various tasks with moderate to little direction.  You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously and should be capable of prioritizing based on importance.  Our project teams are typically small and agile, so most of the production and coordination will be directly handled by you as the Project Architect.

Applicants must possess the following:

A Professional Architecture Degree from an accredited University, or equivalent.
An Active Architecture License in Good Standing is preferred; however, Applicants currently pursuing licensure will be considered and are encouraged to apply as well.
≥ 3 years’ experience working within a professional design firm.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and courteously with consultants, staff, clients, and others.
A thorough understanding of Design and the Discipline of Architecture, along with the capability of applying this knowledge in a practical manner.
Experience in drawing production; having knowledge and capabilities to produce document sets through all phases of a project: Schematic Design, Design Development, & Construction Documents. (Experience in Project Programming is welcome, but not required.)
Understanding and experience with ICC Building Codes, ADA Requirements, NFPA, and/or other similar building codes.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required. Additional Software experience is encouraged. Our office utilizes various software including Revu Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Lumion, Autodesk Suite, and other various software.
Construction Administration Experience Including: Job site visits, Field Report & Meeting Minutes Preparation, OAC Meeting Attendance, Submittal Reviews, Contractor Coordination, Etc.
