True Craft Architecture is seeking a full-time Project Architect.
True Craft Architecture LLC (TCA) has a strong start up history and an ambitious plan for future growth. We primarily specialize in Multi-Family LIHTC rehabilitation projects across the United States. Project types are focused on affordable housing, senior living, and historic renovation/historic rehabilitation.
We are currently seeking a full-time licensed Project Architect to join our team.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· NAAB-accredited degree in Architecture (or similar discipline)
· Experienced Registered Architect – 5 – 10+ years working with complex commercial or residential projects
· Passion for great design and building science with strong technical knowledge of building technologies, construction methods, details, codes, and specifications
· Experience managing a variety of project types, and ability to lead and effectively manage multiple projects, consultants, contractors, and team members, including junior staff members
· Strong organizational skills and ability to plan complex schedules with the ability to monitor and track processes, organize, and maintain a system of records
· Ability to manage complex scopes of work with minimal oversight and to distill information into clear goals and objectives
· Experience with state, regional and national reviews, and processes such as HUD requirements and compliances, historic building preservation practices etc.
· Experience performing field verification of projects under construction, with the ability to travel throughout the United States for extended periods of time
· Ability to build relationships and support business development efforts of the firm
· Experience in fee and contract negotiations
· Software proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite and Construction Management software such as Procore a bonus
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Lead teams of consultants while meeting directly with clients to develop and execute medium to large-scale projects according to schedule, design requirements and budgets.
· Manage and prepare project documents as well as aid in developing and coordinating the specification manual.
· Develop and review building plans making sure a project meets life safety, code, environmental, and zoning standards.
· Ensure all project participants collaborate in an effective manner to create quality documentation while providing consistency throughout each project.
· Own the responsibility of overall quality, accuracy, compliance, and client satisfaction on each project.
· Manage construction administration efforts by quickly providing updates to resolve issues and minimize project delays.
· Serve as a leadership resource with the client, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
· Travel will be required.
