ESKEWDUMEZRIPPLE RANKED #16 IN 2019 ARCHITECT 50

NEW ORLEANS FIRM ESKEWDUMEZRIPPLE RANKED #16 IN 2019 ARCHITECT 50, A NATIONWIDE RANKING OF ARCHITECTURE FIRMS PUBLISHED BY ARCHITECT MAGAZINE
EskewDumezRipple, an award-winning architecture, interiors, and urban design firm, is pleased to announce recognition in this year’s ARCHITECT 50. The firm placed 16th overall in a nationwide ranking of exemplary architectural practices.

Sponsored by Architect Magazine and designed to represent a well-rounded definition of success, the criteria for inclusion comprise an important set of metrics for every architectural practice: profitability, sustainability, and design. As a result, firms both large and small are given equal standing with overall excellence in the three criteria serving as the determining factor.

The recognition is an honor the practice shares with its clients, with performance in the past calendar year driven in large part by several stand-out projects from a design portfolio driven by visionary clients:

o The Bruce Museum, a 6,400 SF renovation and 42,000 SF addition, to a world-class museum based out of Greenwich, CT that interweaves exhibits of art, science, and natural history.
o Miller Park, a collaboration led by landscape partner Spackman Mossop Michaels, a two-acre urban placemaking project in Chattanooga’s thriving Innovation District.
o Thaden School, accomplished with Marlon Blackwell Architects and Andropogon Landscape Architects, represents a new paradigm in high school education, with a campus stretching across the landscape, blurring the distinction between indoors and out.
o Palmisano Corporate Headquarters, a new office building situated in an industrial stretch of New Orleans’ Tchoupitoulas St., nimbly responding to its surroundings in both scale and context while reinforcing the company’s culture as a team-oriented collective.

Since the program’s inception in 2010, the practice has been honored with inclusion in the list. This year matches the firm’s highest-ranking achievement to date (in 2014, the same year the practice won the AIA National Firm Award, the firm similarly placed 16th).

Currently home to a design staff of more than 50, the practice crafts their work in an open studio located in One Canal Place Tower at the edge of the French Quarter.
